Overview The Truck & Trailer Mechanic will diagnose, repair and maintain semis, tandem, tri‑dump and trailer models in our state‑of‑the‑art shop in Spicer, MN. The role supports shop and field operations, ensuring timely and accurate maintenance. Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, utilizing Cummins Insite or CAT SIS software. Diagnose issues in hydraulic, steering, engine, transmission, drive‑train and braking systems, executing adjustments and repairs to keep equipment safe and efficient. Assist in field maintenance as needed, traveling to job‑site locations to perform diagnostics and repairs. Document all work in the shop and field, recording time, materials and detailing the maintenance performed. Enforce shop safety policies, maintaining a clean, orderly and safe shop environment. Collaborate with other shop technicians on preventive maintenance and repairs. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Two‑year college, technical school or 3 years related experience (preferred). Strong knowledge of heavy truck and trailer operations, hydraulics, pneumatics, transmissions, electrical, fuel and related systems. Experience troubleshooting diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes and complex transmissions. Proficiency with Cummins Insite, CAT SIS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Strong team player, independent worker, effective communicator across all organizational levels. Validated driving record, able to travel as needed. Benefits Full‑time, year‑round position.
