Must Have:

3-4+ years of professional experience in UX/Product Design

Web Design for web

Figma, Jira, Confluence

End-to-end product design experience (Phase 0 to launch)

Strong cross-functional collaboration in large teams

Large enterprise experience

Nice-to-Have:

Contentful CMS experience (ideal) or other headless CMS (ex. AEM, Sanity, Drupal)

Experience positioning banking/large enterprise products (telecom, insurance, bank products)

Day-to-day:

As a Senior UX Designer at one of the Big 5 Canadian Banks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of digital business banking product revamps. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Iteration Updates: Continuously improve and update our products based on user feedback and market trends.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor an intermediate designer, managing their workload and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Release Monitoring: Oversee the release process, ensuring that all updates meet our quality standards and align with user needs.
  • Client Feedback Integration: Gather and analyze client feedback to propose new features and updates that enhance the user experience.
  • User Experience Research (UXR): Conduct and oversee user research to inform design decisions and validate product concepts.
  • Workshop Creation: Design and facilitate workshops to foster collaboration and innovation within the team.
  • Research Synthesis: Synthesize research findings to generate actionable insights and inform design strategies.
  • Competitive Analysis: Perform competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate best practices into our designs.
  • Design Thinking: Apply design thinking methodologies to solve complex problems and create user-centric solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to drive innovation and continuously improve our products.
  • This role requires a proactive, innovative thinker who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and driving product success.
