Middle School Social Studies Teacher

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for educators who bring experience and passion to help students explore history, civics, geography, and cultures. If you have a background in guiding children to meet ambitious goalsor you're newer to the classroom but can show evidence of your impactwe'd love to connect.

What You'll Do

• Implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)

• Deliver rigorous, relevant instruction in social studies content areas

• Use performance data to provide targeted instruction and support individual student growth

• Analyze and adjust lessons to meet diverse learning needs, including collaborating with special education staff to modify curricula

• Create a positive, structured classroom environment where students feel respected, challenged, and motivated

• Balance high academic expectations with opportunities for collaborative activities and exploration

• Communicate regularly with families about student progress

• Participate in coaching, professional development, and school community events

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (required)

• Texas teaching certificate (preferred but not required)

• At least one year of successful teaching experience strongly preferred
