• Job Summary


◦ Technician has a detailed working knowledge of department functions and is responsible for performing clerical duties, cleaning, inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and repairs of all supplies, equipment and instrumentation used in the skin/wound/ostomy department. These duties include, but are not limited to scheduling appointments, record keeping, data entry, supply orders, management of incoming communication, as well as assisting SWOT RN at bedside with basic patient care under RN’s direct supervision, i.e. assisting with bathing patients, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned. 


• Job Requirements
◦ Education
▪ Required: High School diploma or equivalent
◦ Experience
▪ Preferred: previous experience in a healthcare role, nursing assistant, or unit secretary.
◦ Skills
▪ Strong computer skills: working knowledge of Microsoft office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
▪ Assists in collecting and organizing data related to department needs.
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
▪ Exhibits valuable time management skills.
▪ Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
▪ Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
▪ Excellent attention to detail.
▪ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
▪ Proficient with use of office equipment including copier/printer/fax.
◦ Licensure/Certification/Registration
▪ BLS must be obtained within 90 days Education: ▪ Required: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: ▪ No prior experience required Skills: • Excellent communication skills • Knowledge of supply inventories • Basic Mircosfot Office skills Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ N/A
