ResourceTek, the Human Capital division of an ENR-ranked, multi-discipline engineering firm, delivers specialized technical services to industrial and government sectors across engineering, construction, and related fields.

In support of our client, a global automotive manufacturer, ResourceTek is currently seeking an Innovation Developer to add to their team on a full-time, contract basis located in Nashville, TN..

The Innovation Developer is key to the success of the business for reaching Industry 4.0. This role will drive our Innovation Projects such as Factory Design, CAD, BIM, eXtended Reality (XR) Deployments, Software and Hardware Integration.

This is a full-time, on-site position within the growing Innovation team in the Manufacturing Organization. The role involves creating interactive applications, translating concepts, design ideas, and requirements into engaging experiences using industry-standard platforms and AR/VR technology. The ideal Candidate should have at least two years of experience with Unity Engine development, basic 3d modeling, strong programming and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and effective team player.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement interactive visualization experiences for training, safety awareness, and 3d design reviews
• Develop and support conceptual XR design reviews to identify and create cost-saving opportunities
• Prepping 3d models for highly optimized standalone devices (such as reduce polygons, 3d texture mapping, applying materials and colors)
• Take ownership of applications lifecycle from design throughout production
• Translate feedback from customers into product features and requirements
• Assist the development process by contributing suggestions for improvement driving the quality throughout production.
• Collaborate with internal Bridgestone customers to capture project requirements, participate and lead storyboard sessions, and develop interactive applications or solutions.
• Ensure that goals and schedules are met with business and project needs.
• Create standard workflow and documentation to facilitate adoption of tools
• Occasional visits to the sites to support project work and technology deployment
• Adhere to the company safety protocols

QULIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred; combination of education/certificate and relevant experience can be accepted.
• 2+ years’ experience in application development
• Experience with gaming engine development
• Experience developing applications for standalone and PC AR/VR headsets such as HTC Vive, Quest 3.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software, asset material, and texturing (e.g. 3DS Max, Blender, 3D Substance Painter)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot, effectively managing deadlines and thrive under pressure
• Self-learner, strong desire to learn new skills, excellent communication skills and team player

Preferred

• Understanding of UX design process
• Experience with Unity Engine and related assets (ex: meshes, animation, materials)
• Experience in various programming languages (C# and Python)
• Previous work experience in corporate or manufacturing setting is highly desirable
