Job Details

• Receive donations at the donation trailer graciously and with a positive and enthusiastic presence. 

• Organize and place all donations in the appropriate gaylords and areas of the trailer while preserving the integrity and quality of the donation.  

• Provide encouraging and welcoming conversation to donors while receiving their donations and explaining our Corners of Your Field program and KARM donations.  

• Effectively tell the KARM Stores and KARM story while also explaining the mission and why we do what we do. 

• Properly issue receipts for donations, in a timely manner. 

• Use an iPad for taking in and keeping up with donations.

• Assist the Receiving Management team in leading and equipping the team to reveal Christ in every aspect of their job, to each other, donors, customers and volunteers.

• Train receiving staff to consistently collect donor information to ensure numbers of recorded donations can be measured.

• Train team members to effectively use the donation receiving script to communicate appreciation, the KARM Story, and Corner of Your Field to donors.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

1. Must have a commitment to KARM Stores’ mission and mission statement.

2. Computer skills to include general typing skills and web browsing capabilities.  

3. Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions and goals provided in written or oral form

4. Stand – up to 100% of a standard work day.

5. Lifting and Bending – up to 75% of a standard work day.

6. Heavy physical activity. This position may require frequent strenuous activity. The ability to lift at least 50 pounds is essential for job performance.

Moderate physical activity.  This position may require frequent strenuous activity.  Able to lift at least 50 pounds.  Use hands to lift, sort, clean, and organize throughout a standard work day.  Depending on location, this position may work in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure throughout the work week. Working conditions may not include air conditioning during the summer when working on a trailer. Heat is provided on trailers during the winter.

Compensation details: 15-15 Yearly Salary
