First Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm (Fridays are overtime during busy season)Position OverviewThe Flat Panel Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machines to ensure production meets or exceeds quality standards and established production rates. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and quality within our manufacturing process.Key Responsibilities•Set up, program, and operate flat panel laser cutting machines and other fabrication equipment.•Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as needed.•Monitor production to ensure materials meet required quality standards.•Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.•Achieve established production rates while maintaining high-quality output.•Identify and report defects in raw materials and finished products to the team leader promptly.•Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to execute tasks accurately.•Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, verniers, and other precision instruments.•Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding production issues and improvements.•Assist in operating other fabrication machines as assigned by management.•Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.What We’re Looking For•Experience: Minimum of one year in CNC operation, programming, and editing.•Education: High school diploma or equivalent.•Technical Skills:oAbility to read blueprints and use measuring devices (calipers, verniers, etc.).oKnowledge of routers, production schedules, and inventory control documentation.oBasic understanding of machine programming and troubleshooting.•Soft Skills:oStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.oEffective communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.oAbility to work independently and as part of a team.oWillingness to take on additional tasks as needed to support production goals.•Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Why Join Palmer Hamilton?•Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits package.•Opportunity to work in a supportive and team-oriented environment.•Stability and growth within an industry-leading company.•Commitment to employee development and continuous improvement.If you are a detail-oriented professional with experience in CNC operation and a passion for quality, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at Palmer Hamilton, LLC!#PM25
