Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Landscape Manager to oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of the landscape and grounds of our farm. This role combines elements of landscape design, horticulture, land conservation, and agricultural knowledge to ensure the property is both functional and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape management, soil health, irrigation systems, and sustainable farming practices.
Key Responsibilities:Landscape Design & Maintenance:
Plan and implement seasonal landscape designs that support both aesthetic and agricultural goals.
Maintain lawns, trees, hedges, flower beds, and pathways to a high standard.
Oversee pest and weed control strategies using sustainable methods.
Equipment & Resource Management:
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, tractors, and irrigation tools.
Manage inventory of supplies and coordinate with vendors for procurement.
Environmental Stewardship:
Implement conservation practices to protect natural resources and biodiversity.
Maintain compliance with environmental and agricultural regulations.
3+ years of experience in landscape or farm management, preferably in a rural/agricultural setting.
Strong knowledge of plant care, soil management, and irrigation systems.
Proficiency in operating landscaping machinery and tools.
Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Physical labor including lifting, digging, and operating machinery.
Flexible schedule with occasional weekends or extended hours during peak seasons.
