We are seeking a Digital Manufacturing Engineer (based in Elgin, Illinois) to partner with global and regional counterparts on the implementation of new digital solutions in the field of IIOT/SC/OT. Reporting to the Regional Digitalization and Automation Lead, join our team as we further digitalize our manufacturing facility. The Digital Manufacturing Engineer will drive MES topics in the region and have a background in manufacturing operations to translate requirements into projects to improve the Manufacturing Execution System.

HARTING aims to be a trusted advisor to HARTING customers and positions itself as the go-to source expert for industrial connectivity solutions. We partner directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Distribution partners for standard product, designed-in value-added products, and Product Development initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:

\n
• Experience managing technical projects; including requirements, budgets, timelines, and changes.
\n
• Proven track record of utilizing technology to drive manufacturing improvements, with knowledge of manufacturing processes such as planning, execution, logistics, and reporting
\n
• Ability to lead workshops with sites and key stakeholders to understand and document complex manufacturing requirements
\n
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting manufacturing systems; specifically, MES. Includes others such as QMS, PLCs, SCADA, Data Historians, CMMS, and computer vision
\n
• Expertise with common OT programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C# and/or others
\n
• Experience working with SQL databases, writing complex queries, stored procs, functions, and triggers
\n
• Experience in OT integration technologies and standards including OPC and/or MQTT
\n
• Experience design and developing cloud-based data analytics and reports
\n
• Experience working with OPC servers and data tags
\n
• Experience integrating OT systems with enterprise solutions using REST API and similar
\n
• Perform other duties as assigned
\n
• Travel up to 10%
\n

Skills and experience to thrive in this role:

\n
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or Industrial Technology
\n
• 3- 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience supporting operations technology
\n

HARTING USA offers an attractive total compensation package and employee benefits, including:

Compensation:

• HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
\n
• Competitive base salary: $80,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location)
\n
• This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
\n
