Communications Coordinator

Reports to: Church Administrator


Job Function
The Communications Coordinator, in partnership with church leadership, is responsible for the
implementation of internal and external communications to consistently articulate, enable and fulfill
the mission and vision of ChristWay Church.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all communications for the church, including external marketing and internal
messaging, ensuring they are effective and consistent with brand guidelines.
• Design and produce art, signage and promotional materials related to church activities, series
and events with a high standard of creativity.
• Provide strategic leadership for digital communications by managing and expanding the church
website, social media platforms and digital campaigns. Develop content strategies, create and
schedule posts, monitor engagement, and use analytics to optimize reach and impact.
• Manage church merchandise, including designing t-shirts and other gear, managing inventory,
staffing merch area and overseeing budget.
• Coordinate the photography team by providing scheduling, direction and creative guidance to
volunteer photographer who capture content at church gatherings and d events.
• In consultation with senior church leadership, develop an annual budget for the
communications team and operate within the approved budget.
• Serve as backup for front office staff
• Complete other duties or special projects as requested.


Qualifications
• Growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Three to five years of experience in graphic design and/or marketing.
• Familiarity with Word Press for website management and the ability to design effective social
media reels for various platforms.
• Comfortable with digital tools such as Dropbox, Slack, Google Suite, Planning Center, and
adobe suite.
• Working knowledge of photography and the basic edits like color correction, density and noise
reduction.
• Strong project management and multitasking skills.
• Creative with strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Understanding of and willingness to adhere to the doctrinal commitments of ChristWay.
