Overview: Insight Global is seeking an Adult ESL Teacher for one of our clients in Sacramento, CA. Under the guidance of the Principal, English Language Development (ELD)/International High School (IHS) Teachers play a critical role in supporting non-native English speakers as they develop their language skills.

Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive lesson plans to improve students' reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of English.
• Foster an understanding of grammar, pronunciation, and conversational proficiency.
• Teach adult English learners the fundamentals of the language, basic math, science, history, and American Government and civics.
• Extend instruction to career development and parenting skills.
• Tailor training methods to accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds, intellectual abilities, and attitudes.
• Provide academic and life guidance, prepare instructional materials, and conduct assessments.
• Contribute to standardized testing initiatives and engage in outreach.
• Participate in campus and community events, and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with peers to refine curricula, ensure student safety, maintain essential records, and stay informed of developments in the field.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM - 3:45 PM
• Flexible options for part-time or evening work available.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Single Subject Credential
• 2+ years of experience working or volunteering in an education-related field (teacher, tutor, substitute)
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of people

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

• Experience in Adult Education or English as a Second Language
