X-Ray Technician - New Orleans, LA

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Setting: Senior Care Facility

Medix is currently hiring a dedicated and compassionate X-Ray Technician to support a senior care facility in New Orleans . In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and clinical support to an aging population. Common scans include chest, joint, and abdominal imaging .

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnostic Imaging:

  • Position patients appropriately under X-ray equipment

  • Adjust immobilization devices and machine settings to ensure proper exposure

  • Follow all radiation safety and protection protocols

• Clinical Support:

  • Assist physicians with EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and other routine procedures

  • Provide compassionate care and maintain patient comfort

• Documentation & Records Management:

  • Maintain accurate logs of X-rays performed and corresponding reports

  • Organize radiological film files and manage referrals and image requests

  • Ensure all documentation meets legal and ethical standards

• Facility & Safety Compliance:

  • Maintain equipment and manage inventory of radiology supplies

  • Comply with OSHA regulations and clinic safety standards

  • Support a safe, clean, and efficient working environment

• Team Collaboration:

  • Work alongside physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow

  • May be required to travel locally to cover multiple centers as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (required)

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-ray technologist in a healthcare setting (2+ years preferred)

• State licensure and/or certification as required by Louisiana regulations

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach to patient care

• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail

• Proficient with phones, computers, and medical IT systems

• Ability to remain calm and effective in busy or high-stress situations

Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
No nights, weekends, or holidays required
