Position Title: Welder/Fabricators
Wage: $20-$25/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
QPS Employment Group is hiring Welder/Fabricators for a company in Springfield, MO. This is an associate to hire opportunity.
Welder/Fabricators Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion
- Constantly inspect and test welds for quality and durability as well as meeting specified standards
- Measure parts using calipers, inspect parts for quality, and complete work center operations; read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings; measure personal performance with a computer time badge by scanning on and off jobs
- Communicate verbally with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
- Understand and follow instructions or gets clarification when needed
- Read and comprehend simple and complex instructions, short correspondence, and drawing notes
- Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and supervisors of the organization
- Follow all RMP policies, quality control procedures, promote and maintain health and safety across projects, teams, and business
Welder/Fabricators Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent or higher; may have to complete formal training in area of specialty or have equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of specific welding processes, such as TIG, MIG, and ARC
- Must be proficient in the use of decimal numbers, calipers, other measurement equipment, and basic math
- Must exhibit good judgment, honesty, integrity, accuracy, responsibility, and punctuality
- Must be comfortable complying with policies, procedures, and maintain work area in an organized manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines
- Must exhibit professionalism and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must be trainable in English paperwork
- Frequent lifting of 15-50 pounds, occasional lifting of 75+ pounds
- Frequent use of hands, gross manipulation, and major hand movements, and simple grasping
- Occasional pushing and pulling of 150-200 pounds
- Frequent hand and body twisting, walking, standing, bending, stepping up and down, carrying, and reaching
