Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping and Receiving Lead to oversee the daily inbound and outbound logistics operations at our warehouse. This role requires hands-on leadership, proficiency in operating material handling equipment (including forklifts and order pickers), and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), including NetSuite (NS).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using a forklift and order picker.
Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the WMS (NetSuite).
Schedule, verify, and document incoming shipments and outbound orders.
Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to resolve inventory discrepancies.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventory.
Inspect incoming goods for damage and verify packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area.
Train and mentor team members on proper procedures and safety protocols.
Communicate with internal teams and carriers to track, report, and resolve shipping issues.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
Proven experience operating a forklift and order picker (valid certification preferred).
Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, bills of lading, and product labels.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with multi-client 3PL environments.
Familiarity with RF scanners and cycle counting.
Ability to lead small teams and enforce SOPs.
