Job Description & Requirements Title: Physical Therapist – Outpatient
Location: Sahuarita, AZ
Duration: 13-week contract
Shift: Day shift, 5x8s (08:00 – 16:30)
Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients based on physician referral or direct access
\tDevelop, implement, and manage individualized plans of care
\tSupervise Physical Therapy Assistants and PT technicians according to the established plan of care
\tTreat injured workers and develop return-to-work plans
\tPerform post-offer testing (e.g., WorkSTEPS, APET)
\tConduct Work Hardening Evaluations and Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs)
\tPerform ergonomic evaluations and job analyses
\tUtilize therapeutic modalities and exercise equipment available in the clinic
\tEducate patients and families and establish home exercise programs
\tCommunicate patient progress to rehab nurses weekly
\tMaintain ongoing communication with referring physicians via timely documentation
\tAssist with scheduling, answering phones, and taking referrals as needed
\tAccurately apply billing codes for various payer types
\tEnsure compliance with state licensure and professional standards
\tSupervise clinic organization and cleaning tasks
\tParticipate in marketing, business development, and community outreach activities
\tMaintain professional relationships with patients, providers, case managers, and insurers
\tPerform additional duties as needed to support clinic operations
\tRequired Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
\tActive state Physical Therapy license in good standing (required)
\tBLS certification required
\tExperience with required charting systems
\tAbility to work full-time, Monday–Friday
\tStrong communication and organizational skills
