\nRN - ICU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 3 years of recent ICU experience required with neuro or cardiovascular experience
\n• UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance with maximum 2 attempts
\n• Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation
\n• Work in 32-bed Surgical ICU focusing on trauma neuro surgery or 36-bed Medical Cardiac ICU plus 12-bed overflow unit
\n• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• Titrate multiple drips including Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Precedex, Levophed, Vasopressin, and others
\n• Interpret own telemetry strips using GE monitors
\n• Self-scheduling with manager balancing shifts for unit needs
\n• Weekend requirements: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
\n• Night shift weekends are Friday-Saturday, day shift weekends are Saturday-Sunday
\n• May have 1 holiday off per assignment
\n• Float to telemetry units with 1:3 or 1:4 ratios as needed
\n• May float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert
\n• Navy scrub color requirement
\n• 1-2 days unit-specific orientation
\n• Use Cerner charting system
\n• Work with respiratory therapists and intensivists available 24/7
\n• Operate ventilators including Drager, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett 840, V60s BiPap, Airvo
Facility:
\nThis Level 1 trauma center provides comprehensive critical care services with multiple ICU units including surgical trauma neuro surgery, medical cardiac, and overflow units. The facility features advanced cardiac services including on and off pump CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, IABP, Impella, and ECMO capabilities. The organization maintains 24/7 intensivist and respiratory therapy coverage and specializes in treating complex trauma cases, cardiovascular procedures, and critical medical conditions.
