Job Title: Trade Surveillance Business Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite – F2F Interview Required) Type: Contract (C2C) Duration: [1+ year] Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Trade Surveillance Business Analyst for a contract opportunity based in Charlotte, NC. This is a fully onsite role, and face-to-face interviews are required. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in trade surveillance and regulatory compliance within the capital markets domain. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and document business requirements related to trade surveillance and regulatory monitoring. Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams to enhance and maintain surveillance systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps in current surveillance coverage and suggest improvements. Write Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and user stories. Participate in tuning and testing of surveillance alerts to ensure quality and relevance. Ensure regulatory compliance with global standards such as MiFID II, MAR, Dodd-Frank, etc. Conduct data analysis and reporting using tools like SQL, Excel, or dashboards. Support UAT and defect triage in coordination with QA and development teams. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Trade Surveillance, Market Abuse, or Compliance domains. Strong understanding of trade surveillance systems (e.g., Actimize, SMARTS, NICE, etc.). Experience with capital markets, trading systems, and regulatory reporting. Strong hands-on experience with SQL and large data sets. Ability to translate complex regulatory and compliance requirements into system changes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be local to Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate. Must be able to attend an in-person interview (F2F required). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus. Knowledge of Agile methodology and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
