About the Role:

We seek a highly motivated and experienced fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy and operations. This is a ground-floor opportunity with significant equity-based compensation and substantial growth potential. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is comfortable with equity as primary compensation during the company's early stages. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility and remote work options.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies encompassing long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
2. Financial Management: Oversee essential financial functions, including accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Implement robust internal controls and manage financial risks effectively.
3. Equity Management: Manage the company's equity program, including stock option plans, investor relations, and compliance with equity compensation regulations. Experience with equity-focused fundraising is essential.
4. Fundraising: Lead fundraising initiatives, develop compelling investor presentations, and negotiate with potential investors.
5. Metrics & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders. Offer data-driven financial insights to the leadership team.
6. M&A Strategy (Future): As the company evolves, contribute to potential M&A strategies, conducting due diligence and financial analysis for acquisitions.

Qualifications:

1. Proven CFO or senior financial leadership experience in a startup environment; fractional CFO experience is a plus.
2. Strong understanding of financial principles (accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling).
3. Deep knowledge of equity-based compensation and equity financing.
4. Demonstrated success in raising capital for early-stage companies.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in investor relations and board communication.
6. Experience in a fractional or consulting capacity.
7. Passion for technology-driven solutions and the heavy industries we serve.

The current compensation package for this role will include equity in the company.
