• UT Health East Texas Physicians has 90+ primary and specialty care clinics serving communities across the region. Affiliated with UT Tyler School of Medicine, we provide top-tier education, innovative research, and residency programs training future medical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Makes and schedules appointments for procedures and surgeries for patients in an efficient and timely manner.
• Verifies and pre-certifies insurance coverage for surgical procedures.
• Coordinates day surgeries within the main surgery department.
• Maintains productivity logs for the department director.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer experience (Excel/Word) required

Preferred Job Requirements

• Two to three years of work experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical scheduling preferred
