Job Description Job Description SUMMARY The Staff Accountant position is an entry or mid-level accounting professional who is responsible for maintaining financial records at a business, usually as part of a team. Their duties include confirming compliance with IRS rules, reconciling bank statements and balancing the ledger for regular reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : To perform this job, an individual must be able to perform the following: · Review financial statements, expenses and previous tax returns to identify the best strategy for organizing and monitoring · Present quarterly and yearly financial reports to management · Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents and receipts · Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for and follow legal standards · Analyze annual budget recording transactions in need of follow-up documentation · Create personal and business invoices and request payment for services rendered · Gather appropriate materials regarding yearly tax tables, instructions and forms to accurately calculate taxes for clients · Work closely with clients and businesses to obtain personal information regarding potential deductions, educational grants or allowances · Organize and update financial records · Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue · Perform monthly bank settlements · Prepare documentation for external auditors · Other duties may be assigned and subject to change in accordance with business needs QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA preferred; or minimum 2-4 years’ post qualification experience Always exhibits HV Randall Foods behavior dealing with management, peers, regulatory inspectors, and customers in a professional manner Strong organizational skills Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Convey information correctly · Advanced computer skills, including strong Microsoft Office LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and procedure manuals. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation). Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
