We are currently seeking a qualified on-site interpreter to provide professional interpretation services for medical and Department of Human Services (DHS) appointments in Solano County , specifically in the cities of Vallejo, Fairfield, and Vacaville .

This role requires in-person consecutive interpretation for clients accessing healthcare and social services. Assignments are scheduled on a per-need basis, and flexibility is essential.

Requirements:

• Must reside within 20 miles of Vallejo, Fairfield, or Vacaville (California)
• No mileage or travel time reimbursement
• Trained and/or experienced in both medical and DHS (Department of Human Services) interpretation
• Excellent command of English and the target language
• Strong professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality
• Ability to follow interpreter ethics and standards of practice

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in medical or community interpretation (e.g., CCHI, NBCMI, or equivalent)
• Experience working with county social services or health departments
• Reliable transportation
