Mechanical Designer

Contract Duration: 6+ months
Pay Range: $35–$42/hour (DOE)

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team in Geneva, OH. This onsite position provides engineering drafting, design, and technical support for the development of new systems and prototype products, as well as modifications and updates to existing systems and products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SOLIDWORKS CAD software.
• Support design activities for new product development and system improvements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to incorporate feedback and implement design revisions.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP .
• Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and update drawings based on redline changes.
• Work with sheet metal and metal fabrication designs.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards ( ISO , MIL , ASME – preferred but not required).
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the contract supported.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience using SOLIDWORKS .
• SOLIDWORKS Certification (CSWP) preferred.
• AutoCAD experience a plus.
• Familiar with ERP business systems
• Familiarity with SAP , PowerPoint , and Excel .
• Experience in sheet metal and metal fabrication design.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling and 2D drafting best practices.
• Ability to work effectively with a design team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Onsite only – remote work is not available for this role.
