🚨 2nd Shift Receiving Supervisor – Cold Storage Warehouse 🚨

We’re seeking a 2nd Shift Receiving Supervisor to oversee all inbound activity at our cold storage warehouse. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be managing people, product, and processes to keep operations smooth, safe, and efficient.

📦 Environment: Cold storage (as low as -20°F)

💼 Department: Operations – Reporting to the Warehouse Manager

🔧 What You'll Be Responsible For:

✅ Leading the Team

• Supervise a dedicated team of receiving associates
• Train, coach, and hold team members accountable to performance and safety standards
• Build a high-performance culture grounded in teamwork, urgency, and ownership

✅ Managing Inbound Operations

• Oversee all unloading, inspection, and staging of inbound shipments
• Ensure products are accurately received, documented, and entered into our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Verify product condition and quantity against purchase orders—report any issues promptly

✅ Driving Accuracy & Inventory Integrity

• Collaborate with inventory control to support real-time accuracy
• Assist with cycle counts and identify receiving discrepancies
• Maintain clear documentation and performance logs

✅ Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with procurement, inventory, shipping, and leadership teams
• Act as the key liaison between shifts to ensure smooth transitions and effective communication
• Support a continuous improvement mindset across departments

✅ Safety First, Always

• Promote and enforce warehouse safety protocols and proper use of PPE
• Lead by example—especially in a cold storage setting where safety and alertness are critical

📚 What You Bring to the Table:

Experience & Education:

• 3–5 years in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in cold storage or food logistics
• At least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• High school diploma or GED required; degree in logistics, supply chain, or operations is a plus

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Detail-oriented and analytical with solid problem-solving ability
• Proficient in WMS and Microsoft Office (Excel a must)
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable working in a cold storage environment (-20°F)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift required
