Job Description

*Senior Civil Engineer*

Momentum Civil is seeking a licensed professional engineer with 10 or more years of experience in civil engineering to join our team. This is an opportunity to join a successful, authentic, and exciting firm led by seasoned professionals that offers civil engineering and land use planning services to a broad range of clients and project types. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and flexible with a zeal to learn new things. Our office is located in the financial district of downtown Tacoma—a vibrant, walkable area of the city with convenient access and public transportation options (both streetcar station and bus located on the same block as our office!). Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Microsoft Word, Excel skills
* Professional Engineer (PE) License (Washington State preferred, but not required)
* AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
* Bluebeam Revu experience
* Proficient in stormwater modeling using WWHM and other software
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering

Typical Job Tasks:

* Lead and manage projects from the concept phase through the construction phase
* Mentor junior staff to support our collaborative team environment
* Project research related to pertinent regulatory requirements, existing utilities, and reports prepared by other consultants
* Design and review of site plans, site grading, water, sewer, storm drainage systems within the Civil3D environment
* Preparation of and review of design calculations and reports
* Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, municipalities and regulatory agencies
* Assist in preparing proposals, budgets, and monitoring project financials
* Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
