LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a dynamic organization in Philadelphia is seeking a Temporary Senior Accountant to support general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and cleanup of accounting records. This short-term assignment is expected to last 30 to 60 days and will require hands-on oversight of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced in corporate accounting, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Temporary Senior Accountant

Location: Onsite – Philadelphia, PA Duration: 30–60 days Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours Compensation: $35–$40/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general ledger cleanup and maintenance , including reconciliations and correcting entries
• Lead and execute month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Oversee payroll processing , ensuring compliance and proper documentation
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable , including aging review and resolution of discrepancies
• Assist with financial reporting and documentation for internal review
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve accounting issues
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, payroll, AP/AR
• Strong understanding of month-end close processes
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, ADP, or similar) and Excel
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
