Job Title: Cable Technician (Level 1 & Level 2)

Location: Large Construction Site

Pay Range:

• Level 1: $20–$21/hr (based on experience)
• Level 2: $22–$26/hr (based on experience)

We are seeking skilled Cable Technicians to assist with pulling cable and terminating keystone-style jacks at a large construction site. This role involves installing and testing structured cabling systems, including Cat5/6 and fiber optic cables, as well as other network infrastructure.

• Pull, terminate, and test Cat5/6 and fiber optic cables
• Install cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc.)
• Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
• Review job documentation, including:
  • Floor plans (equipment locations)
  • Reflected ceiling plans
  • Conduit call-outs
  • Wall elevations
  • Signal flow diagrams
  • Cable pull schedules

• Regularly stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop
• Use hands for handling tools and typing
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Comfortable using power tools

7. Have you installed door strikes or mag locks?
8. Do you have all basic hand tools?
9. Are you proficient in reading blueprints?
10. What types of commercial projects have you worked on?
11. Have you ever led a crew of technicians?
12. Do you have a Texas Alarm Install License (active)?
13. Do you have reliable transportation?
14. Do you have a physical copy of OSHA 10 Cert ?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Claude, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
