Sales Engineer

 

Location: Worcester, MA
Salary: $120,000–$150,000 (based on experience)

We Guide, You Grow Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to drive technical sales growth, develop new customer relationships, and support existing clients in the advanced technical ceramics and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) markets. This position plays a critical role in expanding market presence, promoting specialized technical capabilities, and achieving defined sales targets at optimal profit margins.

The ideal candidate will lead a hybrid team of internal sales personnel and external manufacturers’ representatives, growing business both domestically and internationally, particularly within industries applying Technical Ceramics, Chemical Vapor Deposition, Semiconductor, LED, Optics, Medical Devices, Aerospace, and Defense technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting the manufacturing sector to meet revenue and growth objectives.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new customers while growing existing accounts.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, including coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to adjust strategy.
  • Present sales forecasts, reporting, and progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant industry regulations.
  • Monitor KPIs to evaluate and enhance sales performance and effectiveness.

 

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of successful sales management experience in manufacturing, specifically relating to technical ceramics used in semiconductor, LED, optics, medical device, aerospace, and defense applications.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and product applications.
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to assess market data and translate customer needs into strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
