Job Description

The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. Responsibilities include independently providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit; utilizing the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care; guiding and directing assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care; communicating and collaborating with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care; positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience. Requirements include current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL, graduation from an NLN accredited school of nursing (BSN strongly preferred), BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider, prior nursing experience (critical care and prior Vascular Access experience preferred).
