A global manufacturer of automotive electrical components is currently seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to join their facility in the Dayton, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have previous Quality Engineering experience in the automotive industry and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time and direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package. Quality Engineer Responsibilities Include: Hands-on product quality inspection and assurance, root cause analysis, corrective action, etc. Identify and resolve issues in product design, testing, and production Ensure that products and manufacturing processes are meeting customer, industry, and governmental standards; plan and execute process and quality audits Creation of quality documentation (PPAP, APQP, Fishbone, etc.) Mentoring and training of quality and production associates as needed Act as point of contact for customers’ quality issues, questions, etc. Other duties as assigned Quality Engineer Requirements Include: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience Previous experience in Quality Control or in a quality-adjacent role (including internships, co-ops, etc.) is a plus, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry Familiarity with PPAP / APQP documentation, ISO standards, 8Ds / 5 Whys, etc. Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
