As a Product Security Director at Honeywell, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for cybersecurity initiatives and establishing a forward-thinking security strategy. Your oversight will include regulatory compliance and risk management, ensuring operations align with industry standards. You will foster innovation, adapt to emerging threats, and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.

You will report directly to our Building Automation (BA) CPSO and team, working on a hybrid schedule.

This role impacts the safety and resilience of businesses worldwide by protecting critical assets and information across industries. As the Product Security Director, you will provide strategic leadership to align cybersecurity efforts with organizational goals. This is a senior technical non-supervisory role within the BA Cybersecurity team, driving cybersecurity programs and helping critical product families achieve secure postures. As a representative of BA and Honeywell Global Security (HGS), you will shape Honeywell's external reputation as a trusted and secure business partner, contributing to organizational resilience and success in cybersecurity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support engineering teams, customers, and the BA Cyber Security organization to lead critical programs.
  2. Provide high-level leadership to the cybersecurity department, overseeing all cybersecurity operations.
  3. Collaborate with business leaders to integrate cybersecurity into the overall business strategy.
  4. Represent the cybersecurity department in discussions with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  5. Report regularly to leadership on the performance and status of cybersecurity initiatives.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a Person , defined as a citizen, permanent resident, or someone with protected status under asylum or refugee status in the relevant jurisdiction.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years experience securing Cloud, Mobile, or Client/Server software (including embedded systems)
  • 2+ years leadership experience in software development
  • 10+ years in technology and cybersecurity
  • Strong knowledge of managing programs with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Experience working with clients and engineering teams deploying products
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

WE VALUE

  • Understanding of 'security by design' principles and architecture security concepts
  • Knowledge of current and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-53, NIST RMF
  • Understanding of development methodologies like Agile, SAFe, SCRUM
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices
  • Conducting secure product reviews using automated tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) and manual testing (Penetration Testing)
  • Certifications such as CSSLP or CISSP demonstrating practical security knowledge
