Job Description

Caden Lane is on the hunt for a trend-driven, detail-loving Product Designer to help us dream up and bring to life our next must-have products for moms, babies, and beyond. If your camera roll is full of inspo screenshots, you know your way around a sourcing fair, and you can spot a fabric flaw from 10 feet away—you might be our person. 🧵🍼✨

This role is equal parts creative visionary and sourcing strategist. You’ll play a key role in expanding our product categories, developing concept boards, curating seasonal collections, sourcing new manufacturers, and collaborating across teams to turn inspiration into a beautiful, high-quality reality.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead design and development of new physical products—from nursery to lifestyle to accessories.
  • Create inspiration decks, mood boards, and seasonal collection concepts in alignment with the brand aesthetic and market trends.
  • Source and evaluate new manufacturers, vendors, and materials for both domestic and international production.
  • Develop and manage tech packs , samples, prototypes, and testing processes with factories and vendors.
  • Partner with the Creative and Marketing teams to ensure product stories translate seamlessly across channels.
  • Track and manage timelines for development, sampling, revisions, and approvals— you’re the glue between idea and launch.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in physical product design , ideally within baby/kids, lifestyle, textiles, or accessories.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, materials, and sampling workflows .
  • A killer eye for trends, patterns, and colors—and the skill to translate them into elevated, on-brand product concepts.
  • Experience creating spec sheets, mood boards, and presentation decks .
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills—you know how to manage vendors and a critical path like a pro

Bonus Points For:

  • Have existing manufacturer or sourcing relationships in textiles, accessories, or baby goods.
  • Are familiar with compliance standards for baby/children’s products.
  • Can sketch or mock up product ideas quickly to communicate concepts.
  • Have graphic design skills —especially if you have experience with pattern or surface design (hello, custom prints!).
  • Have a pulse on what’s trending in both DTC and wholesale product design.

What We’ll Bring:

We offer our employees more than just competitive compensation. Our team benefits include:

  • Competitive salary with opportunities for performance-based incentives.
  • Dynamic, collaborative founder-led company culture with a focus on innovation and creativity.
  • Opportunity for career growth and professional development in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Benefits

  • Health Insurance - 75% Paid by Employer
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Employee Discount - 60% off retail
  • Up to 3 weeks of PTO
  • Paid Holidays
