Job Overview
VPI Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a licensed and detail-oriented PRN Pharmacist to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring prescription accuracy, providing clinical consultations, and supporting daily pharmacy operations in alignment with regulatory and safety standards. As a PRN Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality of patient care by verifying prescriptions, addressing medication-related inquiries, and serving as a key resource for pharmacy technicians. Training Schedule

1. Applicants must be available for training during normal business hours: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
   
2. Training will be evaluated after 30 days. Once fully trained, the pharmacist will work on a PRN (as needed) basis, with varying days depending on business needs, averaging 2432 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
Prescription Review & Verification

• Accurately review and verify all prescription orders before dispensing.
  
• Ensure compliance with all legal and clinical guidelines for prescription fulfillment.
  
• Maintain documentation and logs of verified prescriptions per regulatory standards.
  

Prescription Consultations

• Provide clear, accurate counseling to patients regarding medication use, interactions, and side effects.
  
• Answer patient questions and offer education to improve adherence and outcomes.

Prescription Investigation

• Investigate prescription issues flagged during technician processing or provider submission.
  
• Document investigation steps and resolutions according to internal procedures and state requirements.
  

Team Collaboration & Support

• Act as a resource for pharmacy technicians during prescription processing.
  
• Support the pharmacist-in-charge and team to maintain operational flow.
  
• Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
  
• Current state pharmacist license in good standing.
  
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and operate pharmacy systems.
