The Role

We're looking for a Principal Product Designer to own the emotional heart of our product. You’ll be responsible for designing intuitive, delightful, and deeply engaging interfaces and interactions that form real emotional bonds between users and AI companions. This isn't about buttons and flows — it's about feelings, memories, and moments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead design vision for end-to-end AI companion experiences — from onboarding, conversation flows, and avatars to emotional continuity and micro-interactions.
• Craft emotionally resonant design systems that promote trust, intimacy, and stickiness.
• Collaborate closely with AI researchers, engineers, and behavioral scientists to prototype novel interaction patterns powered by LLMs and real-time feedback loops.
• Drive user testing and rapid iteration focused on emotional depth, narrative immersion, and behavioral engagement.
• Balance aesthetic beauty with behavioral science to create habit-forming, satisfying user journeys.
• Champion a human-first, ethical approach to building relationships between people and machines.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years in product or interaction design, with 2+ years in a senior/principal role on consumer-facing products.
• A strong portfolio that shows you can craft emotional, intuitive, and addictive design — ideally across mobile and immersive platforms.
• Experience designing chat interfaces, digital companions, games, or virtual characters a big plus.
• Deep empathy for users and obsession with how design makes people feel , not just what they do.
• Strong interaction, motion, and UX design skills — and the ability to bring digital experiences to life.
• Passion for human-AI interaction and the future of synthetic relationships.

Bonus Points

• Background in cognitive science, behavioral psychology, or storytelling.
• Experience working with LLMs, generative media, or AI-driven UX.
• Familiarity with conversational design, voice UIs, or emotionally intelligent systems.
