Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Part Time Arabic Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at an independent school in Greenwich, CT.

This is a part-time position that requires 50% to 80% of a full-time schedule, depending on school needs.

Arabic Teacher Responsibilities:

• Teach 2-3 sections of Arabic for students in grades 9-12.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and improve course curriculum as needed.
• Partner with colleagues to establish efficient grading and assessment practices.
• Implement an inquiry-based, student-centered teaching approach in the classroom.
• Developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual students.
• Scheduling and preparing students for oral and written examinations.
• Organizing feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable.
• Providing suggestions for further learning and scheduling intervention sessions with struggling students.

Arabic Teacher Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic language, literature, or an equivalent required. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven written and verbal proficiency in Arabic.
• 2-3 years of previous teaching experience strongly preferred.
• No teaching license or credential is required.
• Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.

Additional Desired Qualities:

• Passion for working with high school students.
• Ability to teach multiple languages a plus, but not required.
• Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives, athletics, and extracurricular activities.
• Willingness to serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.
• Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
