Peconic Gold Oysters is located in Cutchogue, NY and has been farming oysters since 2013. One of the most successful farms on Long Island and in the Peconic Bay, Peconic Gold Oysters is seeking a full time Oyster Farm Manager to grow with the company and long-term leadership. Must be comfortable running a boat and with physical labor. Eligible for incentives and bonuses. Will train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Manage and thrive in a fast paced environment. Time management is essential.
• Fulfill orders cleanly and effectively with a crew.
• Haul, sort/tumble, stock, and deploy gear properly, safely and efficiently.
• Update maps with correct info, and keep things organized.
• Communicate frequently and effectively.
• Take direction yet have ability to make own decisions.
• Ensure that adequate materials are on hand for the day. (Fuel, Ice, Coolers, Gear etc.)

Skills

• Operating a Boat
• On Water Experience: comfortable working outside, on water and in all elements and on boats
• Project Management
• Team Management
• Lifting 50+lbs repeatedly
• Punctual and positive attitude.
• No drugs or alcohol.

Pay rate based on experience and performance. Starts at $20-$22/hour with incremental raises based on performance. Opportunities for growth + leadership.

Profit sharing bonuses, life insurance, paid family leave and other incentives available.

Overtime + shucking at private events available as additional income.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 60 per week
