Music Therapist

Pay: $28.21 - $31.98 per hour

At The Osborn , we believe music has the power to spark memories, lift spirits, and create moments of genuine joy. We are seeking a compassionate, creative Music Therapist to join our Life Enrichment team and enrich the lives of our residents through the power of music.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
• Holidays required
• 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Plan, prepare, and lead engaging individual and group music therapy programs across multiple levels of care, including memory care
• Design sensory-based music programs for cognitively impaired residents
• Support Life Enrichment with special programs and events (parties, trips, holiday events, and workshops) as needed
• Oversee and support chorus-style programming for residents and staff, as needed
• Record program attendance and communicate resident needs with the Director of Life Enrichment and Nursing
• Provide wheelchair transportation for residents to and from programs as needed
• Maintain infection control, safety practices, and a warm, professional presence with residents, families, and coworkers

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Creative Arts Therapy
• Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
• Ability to play a musical instrument and lead music activities (including singing) with a geriatric population
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a team-first mindset
• Familiarity with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
