About the Role:

This role is for an Independent Contractor who will provide temporary services to Hims & Hers and will be paid on invoice (1099).

We are looking for a physician (MD/DO) who has experience reviewing consumer-facing content for medical accuracy. We have 50 blog articles to be reviewed within 1 month. Each article is ~1,500 words, and articles are primarily related to oncology, weight loss, menopause, and sexual health. Your role would be to review the articles and provide feedback to editors and writers. Depending on need, there is an opportunity for this role to evolve into a longer-term medical review role after the first month has passed, with a changed compensation structure to payment per article reviewed.

The Hims & Hers point of contact for this role is Dr. Mike Bohl, Senior Director of Medical Content & Authority.

You Will:

• Review blog articles for the Hims and Hers blogs for medical accuracy and completeness
• Ensure citations are in alignment with our internal medical research guidelines
• Note your edits and comments in Suggesting mode on Google Docs and respond to questions from editors and writers as needed
• Keep track of your progress in our project management platform
• Submit a personal bio and photo to be published on the Hims and Hers websites. Your name will be listed as the medical reviewer at the top of articles youve reviewed and will link to this bio page

You Have:

• MD or DO and licensed to practice medicine in the United States (required)
• 3+ years of experience medically reviewing consumer-facing medical content for accuracy and completeness

Preferred Qualifications:

• Effective research skills and familiarity with research databases such as PubMed
• Medical knowledge related to sexual health and hair health
• Basic understanding of SEO principles
• Familiarity with Google Docs
