Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of machinery, buildings, and equipment. This role involves conducting preventative maintenance on metal finishing machinery that ranges from 1-5 years old to 20-30 years old. Assignments are received either orally or through written instructions, which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams. The work is reviewed by technical or administrative superiors through inspections and discussions.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on machinery, buildings, and equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on metal finishing machinery of various ages.
• Receive assignments orally or through written instructions, sometimes accompanied by sketches or diagrams.
• Ensure work quality through inspections and discussions with technical or administrative superiors.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical skills
• Manufacturing experience (2+ years)
• Electrical skills
• Ability to perform repairs and preventative maintenance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous Maintenance Technician experience
• Electrical experience
• Mechanically inclined
• Willingness to train as needed

Work Environment

The work environment includes hours from 5:00am-3:30pm, Monday to Thursday. It is a dirty environment with a series of machines that run metals through a dipping process. This includes chemical dips, washes, and finish dips, which can sometimes result in a chemical smell.

This is a Permanent position based out of Manitowoc, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
