We are a mobile studio so we bring the fun to various locations from recreation centers to scout meetings and birthday parties. These classes are taught in person, hybrid and remote opportunities are not available. 

You don't need to be an artist for this role but you must truly get a kick out of making a mess while doing your best and believe kids should get messy too! We have part-time positions available now and we need enthusiastic people with flexible schedules who are able to help spread a passion for art education.

Hours vary by week, and no set schedule is guaranteed.

This part-time lead art teacher position may be the perfect job for graphic designers, college students, retired teachers, paraeducators, freelance artists, ceramic artists, daycare providers, and caregivers.

Candidates in Bedford, North Andover, Reading, North Reading, Lynnfield, Wilmington and Winchester preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Leading art class through lessons


• Class and project supply preparation


• Interaction with class participants, caregivers and site stakeholders


• Class set-up and clean-up

QUALIFICATIONS

• You must have flexible availability and be available at least 3 days a week (afternoons from 2-7 pm) and occasional weekends.


• High School diploma or GED.


• 1 year of work experience, preferably with children or in a creative field.


• You must be 18 years of age or older.


• You are comfortable working with kids ages 18 months to 12 years.


• You must be able to teach and manage students during art classes and camps.


• You must be enthusiastic, reliable, punctual, creative, and love working with kids.


• You may have availability during no-school days, during school breaks and during school summer vacation.


• You must have a valid driver's license and a reliable car to get to the variety of locations we serve (Andover, Bedford, Lexington, Billerica, Burlington, Lynnfield, Medford, Melrose, Middleton, North Andover, North Reading, Reading, Stoneham, Tewksbury, Wakefield, Wilmington and Woburn)


• You are willing to drive to different locations to provide art education classes (generally within a 15-20 mile range of Wilmington, MA).


• You must pass a background and CORI check.
