Job Description Primary Purpose: This role is designed to provide orientation and training in Sedgwick’s software development lifecycle. Working under close supervision, the Entry-Level Software Developer assists with the development and modification of simple software programs, supports requirement gathering, and participates in review sessions with IT colleagues. Responsibilities: Learn and apply Sedgwick’s IT processes and software development lifecycle. Assist with data and system analysis, including process flows, data diagrams, and formatting. Participate in requirements development and unit testing of simple code units. Support development and testing of software using Informatica, PL/SQL, Progress, Microsoft .NET, or other assigned languages. Investigate issues and contribute to timely resolution under guidance of a technical leader. Adhere to departmental design and development standards. Deliver high-quality service and support Sedgwick’s client-focused initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned and support the organization’s quality programs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Coursework or training in user requirements, business applications design, and development preferred. No professional experience required; internships or academic projects a plus. Knowledge of Oracle databases, PL/SQL, C#/C++/C, Open Source, Korn Shell Script, Perl, or Progress 4GL highly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Swoon
