Service Desk Specialist

TEKsystems is in search of a junior level service desk specialist to perform within password resets, answering phone calls, hardware/software break fix, installations, AD, account access, etc.

Responsibilities include:

• Provides first contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application problems.
• Provides polite and friendly customer service.
• Attempts to resolve as many incidents during the first contact, or at Tier I. Efficiently escalates incidents to higher Tier II or Tier III when required.
• Documents incident status and solutions in incident database tools.
• Possesses current working knowledge of computers, printers, laptops, and common windows applications.
• Works through various types Tier II issues with telephone assist.
• Provides answers to Frequently Asked Questions or solutions to common problems as part of a customer self-help capability.

Intermediate level degree + experience requirement:

• 6 years with Bachelors degree

• 8 years if theyre working towards any type of degree

Job description: TEKsystems has partnered with a government customer in Pearl Harbor, HI to identify resources in the Service Desk space. Ideal candidates would have an Active TS/SCI and Security+ CE certification. Long term contract just won the recomplete for the next 5 years, very stable, supporting the Army. There is significant promotion and advancement potential within the contract. Before releasing any requirement, they try to promote from within. Working for an enterprise level Government integrator with various contracts all over the country.
