So, what will the Intelligence Analyst at Terrestris do?

The FBI's mission is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners; and to perform these responsibilities in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the public and is faithful to the Constitution of the United States. The Laboratory Intelligence Unit (LIU) provides analysis of forensic exploitation to address the requirements of the FBI and the United States Intelligence Community (USIC). As an  Intelligence Analyst you will play a critical role in protecting the nation by evaluating and synthesizing complex information to identify threats and inform operational and strategic decisions. You will work alongside Special Agents, data scientists, and other professionals to support national security and criminal investigations, detect emerging threats, and inform policy makers.

What does a typical day look like for the Intelligence Analyst?

You will:

  • Analyze, assimilate, and evaluate all available intelligence information relating to your assigned area of responsibility.
  • Be responsible for selecting new and pertinent material for the files and for recognizing important new information which may suggest the necessity for further examination or study.
  • Prepare finished studies of factual data.
  • Provide specialized intelligence and threat analysis and production support.
  • Access and perform research on designated automated intelligence databases for the purpose of identifying information of interest to the customer, downloading the identified information to an appropriate medium, and editing the information into format(s) to be specified by the customer
  • Provide intelligence and threat analysis of the information that is tailored to the customer's requirements.
  • Develop information and technical support of documents, summaries, reports, presentations and other designated products in support of the customer's information and technical support requirement; and
  • Present briefings to personnel designated by the customer.

  What qualifications do you look for?  

You might be the Intelligence Analyst we're looking for if you have:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship.
  • An Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of three years of intelligence analysis work experience in the USIC writing raw and/or tactical intelligence products.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with intelligence requirements and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal ability, demonstrated by at least three years of experience working on a multi-disciplined team or within a team environment.
  • Strong editorial and grammar skills, demonstrated by at least two years of experience in copy editing, print-publishing, or other writing-heavy responsibilities.
  • At least five years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite products, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

We are  extra  impressed by folks with:

  • Previous military, law enforcement, or other federal government/non-USIC experience.
  • A hard science or technical background.
  • Any experience having certified release authority to release and/or disseminate intelligence products.
