Job Title: Industrial Sewing Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Webster, MA (Primary) / Woodstock, CT (as needed) – Onsite
Duration: Direct Hire
Salary: $26.00 – $31.00 / Hour
Shift: 2nd Shift (Split) | Schedule: 11am – 7pm or 12pm – 9pm | 40 hours/week
Annual Bonus Target: 5%
Description:
• Oversee and organize the operation of maintenance across multiple facility areas and production equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and repair parts.
• Set and prioritize maintenance schedules for machinery and facilities.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on sewing machinery and other plant equipment.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.
• Log equipment issues and coordinate external service calls when needed.
• Respond to facility emergencies; participate in on-call rotation.
• May occasionally work out of the Woodstock, CT location as needed.

• Maintain ongoing communication with HR and leadership.
• Proactively update on repairs, work orders, and equipment statuses.
• Support production uptime through responsive and skilled troubleshooting.
• Ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
• Work with limited supervision and handle priorities with sound judgment.
Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:
• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of specialized mechanical training.
• Hands-on experience with industrial sewing equipment and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Ability to read equipment manuals and perform repairs with minimal direction.
• Capable of using multimeters and general mechanical tools.
• Effective verbal communication in English.
Physical Requirements:
• Stand/walk for extended periods.
• Climb up to 40 feet.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Bend, stoop, crawl as needed during repairs.
