We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sewing and soft goods manufacturing—preferably in the aerospace industry—and will be responsible for the precise fabrication of products according to design specifications and quality standards.
\n\n \n Duties and Responsibilities \n\nSew materials by hand and/or industrial sewing machines to join, gather, reinforce, or decorate materials and fabricated articles.
\n\t\n\tCut materials according to specifications or trim excess material/thread using blades, scissors, or electric knives.
\n\t\n\tExamine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to quality standards.
\n\t\n\tMonitor machine operations to detect and correct stitching defects, thread breaks, or malfunctions.
\n\t\n\tSet up and adjust machines by mounting attachments, threading materials, and aligning guides.
\n\t\n\tPosition and mark patterns on materials in preparation for sewing.
\n\t\n\tOperate specialized automatic and semi-automatic sewing equipment as required.
\n\t\n\tPerform preventive maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, oiling, and needle replacement.
\n\t\n\tRecord production information such as materials used and output quantities.
\n\t\n\tEnsure product quality and accuracy per fabrication instructions and drawings.
\n\t\n\tPerform other related duties as assigned.
\n\t\nEducation & Experience:
\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
\n\t\n\tMinimum 5 years of sewing or soft goods manufacturing experience (aerospace experience preferred).
\n\t\n\tProficiency with industrial sewing machines, including:
\n\n\t \n\t\tStraight Stitch (single & double needle)
\n\t\t\n\t\tWalking Foot
\n\t\t\n\t\tBartack
\n\t\t\n\t\tButtonhole
\n\t\t\n\t\t3-Thread Rolled Hem Serger
\n\t\t\n\tSkilled in reading and interpreting fabrication instructions and assembly drawings (English).
\n\t\n\tExperience creating and fabricating soft-goods patterns.
\n\t\n\tAbility to meet very tight tolerances in sewing and cutting operations.
\n\t\n\tTeam-oriented with strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
\n\t\n\n\n \n Skills and Competencies \n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).
\n\t\n\tStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n\t\n\tResults-oriented with a creative approach to problem-solving.
\n\t\n\tSelf-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.

\n\t\nPrimarily an indoor manufacturing environment; may occasionally involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
\n\t\n\tStandard office equipment used (PC, phone, printer, etc.).
\n\t\n\tMust be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation .
\n\t\n\tManagement reserves the right to select at any level for which this position is advertised.
\n\t\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods (approximately 90% of the time).
\n\t\n\tMay occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs. (approximately 5% of the time).
