As more launch vehicles come online and the cost to orbit decreases, more companies launching payloads to space continue to emerge. For the first time in history, this influx of payload companies combined with reduced launch costs has resulted in a massive increase in need for commercial spacecraft platforms, known as satellite buses. These buses hold the payloads of our customers and are flown on launch vehicles. Apex manufactures these satellite buses at scale using a combination of software, vertical integration, and hardware that is designed for manufacturing. We’d love for you to join us on our mission of providing humankind access to the galaxy beyond our planet. We are seeking a Global Supply Chain Manager to work closely within the Supply Chain Team. This team manages the production flow of goods and services to ensure manufacturing readiness. The role interfaces with production, program management, engineering, and leadership, requiring skills in Decision Making, Cost Reduction, Negotiation, Project Management, Contract Management, and Spend Management. Responsibilities: Ownership of purchasing for direct materials Design and develop sourcing strategies for key spacecraft components and implement them Negotiate pricing and terms within responsible sourcing commodities Manage spend and budgets for direct materials Identify new supplier candidates and drive continuous improvement within the supply base Implement, maintain, and manage direct contracts with negotiation of contractual terms Develop relationships with internal stakeholders to anticipate requirements and meet business needs Support the development and implementation of purchasing strategies Manage material flow, including logistics, inventory, and internal material movement Requirements: U.S. Person status required due to access to export-controlled data Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field 3-6 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations Proven track record of cost reduction and on-time delivery Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent presentation and communication skills for interfacing with leadership Benefits: Equity in Apex, sharing in company success Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision plans, with 99%+ premiums covered for primary and dependents Generous PTO and paid parental leave 401(k) plan with matching Daily lunch and unlimited snacks Community events like BBQs, tournaments, and clubs Supportive work environment with top-notch tools and a great office in Playa Vista Opportunity to impact the aerospace industry Equal Opportunity Employer Apex Technology, Inc. celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment.
