General Production Operator II- 2nd Shift

Pro-Active Engineering, a leader in Printed Circuit Board assembly is building a 2nd shift! Our General Production Operator II performs tasks involved in general assembly of printed circuit boards. This involves ability to hand solder, machine operation capability, hand insertion of electronic components, trimming wires, clipping leads, programming and testing boards, box build assembly and printed circuit board cleaning. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Essential Functions 1. Follow internal assembly process documentation ensuring product meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.2. Ability to hand solder thru hold components, wires, etc.3. Ability to operate PCBA machinery (Omron AOI, X-Ray, Selective Solder).4. Separate printed circuit boards from production panels.5. Manually insert through-hole components in accordance with IPC Class 2 Standards.6. Prepare wires and leads through cutting, clipping, and tinning process7. Prep raw components for secondary operations.8. Hand washing of finished printed circuit board assemblies. 9. Properly label or mark circuit boards.10. Keep an accurate count of product at your workstation while inspecting every piece for defects.11. Glue, epoxy, mask and conformal coat circuit boards.12. Program and functionally test circuit boards. Package and box assemblies as required for shipping.13. Keep supplies stocked and preparing work area for the next shift.14. Follow all safety rules, including wearing protective gear when required.15. Ability to clean machines and production areas.16. Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. Competencies

Physical Demands

1. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
2. Physically able to work with hands,
3. Good dexterity with small parts and repetitive motion.
4. Ability to see color and read small product labels.
5. Ability to bend, kneel, etc.
6. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

Required Education and Experience

1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
2. IPC knowledge or certification or willingness to be certified
3. Knowledge of electronic components and equipment

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
2. Experience soldering thru hole components
3. Experience with machines related to circuit board assembly
4. Experience with AOI/Xray machines related to circuit board inspection
5. High attention to detail and familiarity with inspecting circuit boards
