Fleet Manager This is a US Corporate position located at our Charlotte, NC office. Position Overview The Fleet Manager is responsible for managing operations, maintenance, and optimization of our vehicle fleet. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation that supports our business goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) Manage the acquisition, registration, and disposal of fleet vehicles; Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs; Monitor fuel usage, vehicle performance, and driver behavior; Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards; Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures; Use data to optimize fleet costs, fuel use, and asset utilization; Coordinate with vendors for vehicle servicing, parts, and leasing; Maintain accurate records of inspections, licenses, and insurance; Analyze fleet data to improve efficiency and reduce costs; Recruit, train, and supervise drivers and support staff; Ensure DOT, EPA, and local transport laws are followed; Prepare reports for senior management on fleet performance and budgeting. Required Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations, and safety compliance; Proficiency in fleet management software and GPS tracking systems; Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills; Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities under pressure. Education and Experience Bachelor\'s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred); 3-5 years of experience in fleet management or transportation operations. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment Office-based with occasional site visits; May require availability outside standard hours for emergencies or operational needs. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week; Travel may be required to meet immediate business demands. Travel Ability to travel 15% or more of the time; Availability to travel on short notice to meet immediate business needs may be required. Security Clearance Must be able to pass pre-employment background check.
