Individuals we have added to this internal Recovery Cadre pipeline will receive first consideration for future openings that align with their skillset and interests. **If you are interested in active open positions where we would be looking at immediate hire, please review the other openings on our website.** The **FEMA** **Cost Estimator** will develop detailed and accurate cost estimates leveraging FEMA-s Cost Estimating Format for both repair and replacement of local municipality facilities damaged by natural disasters. **Responsibilities for the FEMA Cost Estimator Include:** + Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for all storm-damaged city facilities. + Aid in documenting storm-related damages and development of detailed scopes of work. + Aid damage assessment teams on field visits when needed. + Interact with assessment teams & Project Managers to develop cost estimates. + Lead discussions in meetings with FEMA & State Representatives on cost estimate related issues. **Qualifications for the FEMA Cost Estimator Include:** + 3+ years of experience in preparing storm-damage cost estimates + 2+ years of recent experience estimating repair, remodel and new construction projects of various types and sizes for disaster related projects. + Experience inspecting storm-damaged facilities + Working knowledge of RS Means estimating software + FEMA related cost estimating experience + Experience with FEMA-s Cost Estimating Format (CEF) + Working knowledge of FEMA PA Laws, Regulations & Policy + Bachelor's degree required, or 4 years of related work experience in lieu of degree. **Compensation for the FEMA Cost Estimator Includes:** + Salary range of $85,000 - $125,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs. + Comprehensive benefits program, including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending accounts (FSA) for health and transit/parking, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, sick leave, and more.
