About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the Climate Impact Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the lab's strategic and operational activities, with a focus on advancing the understanding of climate change impacts and the effectiveness of various mitigation and adaptation strategies. This role involves overseeing a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaborations with external partners, and ensuring the lab's research and initiatives have a meaningful and measurable impact on climate policy and decision-making. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the Climate Impact Lab should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field such as environmental science, economics, or policy, and a proven track record in climate research and its application. The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and experience in fundraising and financial management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of climate change issues, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and the private sector. A background in interdisciplinary research and a network of professional contacts in the climate and sustainability fields are also highly valued.
