Controller:

The Entry-Level Controller will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of Cottages Senior Living, by assisting with the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, maintaining robust internal controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to launch their career in financial management and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with Executive team for business problem solving, proforma analysis of prospective project acquisitions, produce monthly financial statements, develop and manage annual operating budget for multiple properties, manage staff preforming general accounting functions, establish and implement department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate programs effectiveness; effect change required for improvement, develop new capabilities of financial reporting to enhance analysis and improve the business decision making process, develop proactive business forecasting, cash management and financial strategy tools, work with outside vendors and auditors as necessary for production of all financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports, contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Provides assistance in project completions as assigned President/ CEO of the company

Qualifications:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work with all levels of an organization, must be self-motivated and customer focused, must have strong people skills, and the ability to build a team, outstand analytical, oral and written communication in English, required, including computer skills, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Suite, experience with Yardi

Education/ Experience:

BA or BS in accounting, CPA or MBA preferred

2+ years with minimum direct experience in the assisted living/ memory care market

5+ years of progressive experience managing and accounting/ finance department with a strong transaction environment background

Work Location:

Home office in Eagle, ID - This is not a remote position
